Plot introduction
Hispassionforcombatsportswasn’tkeepinghimalivesosurvivalmodekickedinforMichaelandhewasforcedtotakenormaljobs,includingworkinginfactories,slaughterhouses,demolitioncompanies;inadditiontoworkingasanupholsterer,postman,tiler,plasterer,andsalesman.Inhislateryearsthough,Michael’scareerasaUFCfighterwouldtakeoffandhewouldbecomeoneofthesportsfanfavorites,butwithanycombatsportcomestheshrapnelofgettingkickedandpunchedinthefaceonanightlybasis.Inacontroversialfightagainstthesteroid-inducedVictorBelfort,theunthinkablewouldhappentochangethecourseofBisping’slifeforever.Hewouldsufferadetachedretinafromablowandkicktotheheadthatwoulddisfigureandscarthefighterforever,threateningtoendacareerhehassacrificedeverythingfor.Withawifeandkidsthatlovehim,theypleadforthebatteredandbruisedfightertohangupthegloves,astheyfeelhehasnothinglefttoprove.Butintheendthatdecisionislefttoonlyoneman:MichaelBisping.
